Writing & photography have been a big part of Shannon
Hudnell's life since she was a kid. Schooled in both photography
and fine art, and having a natural ability to write successfully,
she has combined the three in order to fully express her
creativity. Her motto applied to photography is: "Only a camera
can capture a view that the naked eye cannot see, and using
Photoshop makes it extraordinary." This is where her expertise
in art + photography enters the picture (no pun intended!).
Shannon uses acrylic paints when she doesn't feel the need to
be so technical. Abstract is her preferred subject matter.
Award-winning photography and publications are among some of
Shannon Hudnell's accomplishments. A photo she took of
Playboy model Allison Torres will be featured in a 2011
calendar, and some historical architectural photos have been
selected for a book slated to be out around June 2010. For now,
Shannon's main goal is to focus on getting her name out in the
world of photography and writing.
Shannon Hudnell's belief is that loving what you do is a
fundamental part of success.
"It is important for me to represent the most cherished memories
of couples, children, families, and pets. Nature is my favorite
subject, as there are no expectations and often unexpected
surprises. To me, candid shots as opposed to posed, are the
best and most admired of all," she says.
