Black and White Photography: Things Made of Wood
I think wood generally photographs better in black and white, mainly due to its greyscale colors. Contrast adjustment can help bring out the details. I had several photos to choose from for this challenge and decided on these.
This was taken at the Tampa Bay Renaissance Faire earlier this year. It was pretty cool to watch something happen that we unsuccessfully tried doing as kids.
A hunting stand on my friend’s property in Ohio.
This encapsulates the entire challenge – the tree, the fence, and the house – all made of wood.

These are wonderful, but I adore the fence/house/tree with the window. That’s my favorite π

The first photo is compelling.
The decrepit building begs to tell its story.
