The Bigger Picture Project – Week 3
For this week’s Bigger Picture series, I chose to crop this photo down to the main colors in it to make it appear more abstract. Some things may be recognizable, but my main focus was on color. Without looking too closely, what does this appear to look like as an abstract piece?
I’m certain that most of my viewers will be able to get the bigger picture from this post compared to yesterday’s. What do you think is happening here? *** Hint: It’s not a black bear. 😉
And the final reveal!
This was Sampson, a black lab that belonged to the Coast Guard at Ponce Inlet, Florida, running and playing along the beach and sniffing whatever he could find. Dogs in general symbolize protection, loyalty and unconditional love. (To read more about black labs and their symbolism, this Spirit Animals website gives an in-depth explanation.) An orange leaf is typical of the changing of seasons. Combining the two may indicate a change in a relationship or an aspect of life in which loyalty is involved.
About “The Bigger Picture” series:
“The Bigger Picture” is a series of 3 shots, the first being a closely cropped zoom shot and the final revealing the entire picture. Each week, I post each shot on separate days so that viewers can guess what the final photo may be.
The intention behind this is that we often see the tiny things without taking into consideration all of the its surroundings. It’s also a way of looking at smaller things that go unnoticed, which also contribute to the bigger things in life. Without the small things, we have no picture. Without looking at the bigger picture, we are robbing ourselves of truth.
