Although I love sunrises, sometimes it’s a lot easier to view a sunset due to the time of day. Some of the sunsets have bright orange and pink skies, and depending on which… Continue reading
I have so many sunset photos I’ve taken in New Smyrna Beach, Florida, that I could probably fill up an entire year of blogging with them! The first is a sunrise, which is… Continue reading
If I can’t be up early enough for a sunrise, I attempt to at least view a sunset every evening. I’ve taken all of these photos with an iPhone 6.
This is only the second “round” painting I’ve ever done. As you can tell, I really love sunsets!
I thought I’d try painting a silhouette this time, because it’s something I haven’t attempted before. The photos of my paintings don’t exactly show the quality of my work. I tend to use… Continue reading
If you like to travel to national parks, Canaveral National Seashore is a great one to visit! It’s a super chill place to see cool things in nature whether is be the ocean… Continue reading
I took these full moon photos during a trip to Miami last spring. Not being much of a night photographer, I’d like to improve the quality of night shots, but I also like… Continue reading
Okay… so I know I need to get on the ball with my posts again! I’ve been taking tons of photos lately, but mostly with my iPhone, since it’s always with me and… Continue reading
Welcome to Shannon’s Creative Photo Challenge! I was trying to do this weekly, but I have too much going on at the moment to dedicate. Instead, I will post randomly as time allows. This… Continue reading
It took me a while to choose photos for this challenge, because not all look good in black and white. Certain architectures and textured landscapes do, which is why I chose these particular ones… Continue reading
I saw this rainbow the other evening. It was completely unexpected and so large I couldn’t fit it into one photo. I made a wish, and minutes later I got an unexpected call about… Continue reading
Welcome to Shannon’s Creative Photo Challenge! Again, I am late for this week’s challenge. Too much going on at once! Each Wednesday, I post a newly themed challenge. This week’s challenge is NEAR… Continue reading
This was a bit of a challenge for me, because I’ve either already posted some of my simple photos or I tend not to take very simple ones that relate to this challenge.… Continue reading
I tend to take several photos of the same subject at different angles, because I’m just obsessive like that. Last week at the beach, I noticed a pile of mangrove seeds washed up from the… Continue reading
As most of you probably know by now, I love taking sunset photos. I like sunrises, too, but the time of day doesn’t always work for me. These photos have been taken over… Continue reading
If you’ve been following me for a while, you probably already know by now that sunsets are one of my favorite subjects. Because of their beauty, they always make me feel inspired. I… Continue reading
Welcome to the second month of my Creative Photo Challenge! It’s been very exciting to see everyone’s interpretations. Each Wednesday, I will post a newly themed challenge. In keeping with the theme of mystery and change… Continue reading
These photos were taken over the summer during a trip to North Carolina. The first two were taken at Pisgah National Forest. A photo of the waterfall by itself doesn’t seem as intense… Continue reading
To me, the only good thing about waking up early is being able to watch the sun rise. I took these a few days ago in Edgewater, Florida. This is the same sunrise… Continue reading
This morning I woke up long before the sun came up and couldn’t get back to sleep. I thought it was the perfect opportunity to drive to the beach and watch the sunrise.… Continue reading
With the One Photo Focus Before & After challenge, you get to tweak other people’s photos. For October, photographer Michelle Lunato submitted this photo for everyone to play with. And my version:
The Daily Post: Monochromatic
I took these photos with my infrared camera along New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge: What is Beautiful to You
This is what I live for – nature, sunsets, wildlife, tranquility – because it’s the only time I really feel like myself and truly enjoy life. Sunsets are a gift at the end… Continue reading
This was the coolest guy! He stood there long enough and posed for me to get this perfect shot!
It’s rare that I’m out of the house while the sun is rising, but I was on the road early this morning and noticed a beautiful pastel sky. And guess what? I didn’t have… Continue reading
This is a pretty cool photo challenge from Visual Venturing where you get the chance to do what you want with someone else’s photography – which means playing with Photoshop! Here is the original… Continue reading
The Daily Post Photo Challenge: From Every Angle
These photos were all taken at Pisgah National Forest in North Carolina. The first photo was taken with an infrared camera. If you notice the fence in the background –… Continue reading
I took these photos on the evening of July 22 while I was traveling along the Intracoastal Waterway in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. I always take rainbows as a sign, but I had… Continue reading

Both of these photos were taken with an infrared camera. Sunday Stills: Clouds in Black and White
Landscapes are one of my favorite photo subjects! This was a sunset taken in intervals at Spruce Creek Preserve in Port Orange/New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Sunday Stills, the next challenge: Landscapes

Memories fade like a ghost in an old photograph in the fog of your mind.
Being left alone can either be freeing or leaving you scratching for the surface of the ocean in which you’re drowning.
We all have choices to make, but we don’t always make the right ones. Sometimes either direction seems to be a no-win, so we take the lesser of the two evils.
The experts tell us that trauma during childhood can leave deep impressions which follow us through adulthood, as if a ghost is always haunting us.
How many times do we wish we could change the outcome?
There is no way around change. We all must change, whether it be physically, emotionally, and/or spiritually. It is natural to resist change, but it is easier to let go and let be.
Travel theme: Land meets Water
I suppose my favorite color would be indigo – that cross between blue and purple. A Photo a Week Challenge: Favorite Color in Nature
Some of the greatest cloud coverage!
Both photos were taken along the Instracoastal in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge: 3 Things
I thought this would make a nice shot because of the perpendicular lines of the ladder and canoe. I chose to do this in black and white, because the color shot didn’t do… Continue reading
